Avaaz was running on aging PHP infrastructure with a legacy front end, increasingly costly to maintain and slow to extend as the organization’s work grew.
They needed to move onto a modern stack without stalling the platform people rely on.
Aparat migrated the legacy PHP infrastructure to Python 3.12 (Flask) microservices, designed a responsive JavaScript front end to replace the old UI, and built end-to-end test suites to lock in quality, delivered incrementally with Agile and Kanban. Environment: Python (Flask), MySQL, Docker, Redis, AWS (S3, SQS) and Ansible.
A modernized, maintainable platform on a current stack, with end-to-end testing that reduced bugs by around 40% and an incremental delivery cadence that kept improvements shipping.
